Equipment Requirements

Tractors

• Tractor must be 5 years old or newer
• Tractor must pass Elite Carriers’ DOT inspection when lease is signed.
• All safety equipment as required by DOT. Safety equipment will be inspected at the time of lease and quarterly thereafter.
• Wheel base must be 260 inches or less.
• Empty weight must be less than 18,500 lbs.
• The maximum height of the fifth wheel must be 47.5 inches.

Trailers

• Trailer must be 53 foot long and 102 inches wide.
• Trailer must have 22 inch tires.
